Policies

Company policies are created to establish expectations and to provide guidance on how to consistently handle workplace situations. Although most company policies are not all-encompassing, they provide direction regarding what is appropriate as well as inappropriate or unacceptable behavior.

In CIDOLS, policies are created to:
  • identify anomalies to reduce risks and to adhere to quality assurance
  • cooperate and meet regulatory requirements
  • hold Employees Accountable to building a stronger corporate culture​

1. SUSTAINABLE PALM OIL SOURICNG POLICY

CIDOLS is committed to responsible and sustainable palm oil sourcing, which source raw materials for production of fatty esters as much as possible from responsibly grown palm oil origins that certified by the Roundtable on Sustainable Palm Oil (RSPO). Our effort will be aggregated to a bigger picture for sustaining this palm oil industry to the future.
 
CIDOLS commit ourselves & suppliers to adhere to the following requirements: 

No Deforestation and No Peatland Development
  • No conversion of High Conservation Value areas or High Carbon Stock forests, and no new peatland development
  • No burning in preparation of plantings or any other development
  • Progressive reduction of Greenhouse Gas Emissions from operations of existing mills and plantation

No Exploitation
  • Prohibit and eliminate of forced labour, child labour, human trafficking
  • Uphold and respect human rights of all workers, and follow ethical recruitment practices
  • Zero tolerance for harassment, intimidation, criminalization or violence towards human rights, environment and land defenders
  • Respect and uphold land tenure rights of individuals, Indigenous People and local communities

Transparency & Stakeholder Engagement
  • Transparency on sourcing and supply chain traceability
  • Resolves all complaints and conflicts through a transparency and responsive mechanism
  • Engage & collaborate with stakeholders, including Indigenous People, local communities, civil society, government, to help transform palm oil sector align with NDPE (No-Deforestation, No-Peat, No-Exploitation)

2. FOOD AND FEED SAFETY POLICY ​
​CIDOLS is committed in providing quality and safe products to our customers through: 
  • Committed to satisfy customers’ food and feed safety related requirements, FSSC 22000 requirements, Malaysian Food Act 1983 (Act 281) and Regulations and other applicable food safety requirements. ​
  • Consistently reviewing and improving our Food and Feed Safety Management System to ensure continual improvement of Food and Feed Safety Management System. 
  • To ensure Internal and external communication is in place.
  • To ensure the competencies related to Food and Feed Safety.

​Food and Feed Safety Objectives 
In-line with our Food and Feed Safety Policy, we have established the following objective, to be achieved and reviewed within 1 year.
​Our food and feed safety objectives are:
  • ​To produce safe products that complies with Food Act 1983 (281) and Regulations 1985 and Feed Safety limits based on TS 1.5.

  • To ensure 0 customer complaint cases on food and feed safety cases per year.
  • To ensure at least 1 training related to food and feed safety regulation for each employee.
  • To ensure no food and feed safety issue on raw materials / packaging materials per year.
  • To ensure no food and feed safety issue customer complaints due to miscommunication. 

3. OCCUPATIONAL SAFETY AND HEALTH POLICY

CIDOLS is committed to providing and maintaining a safety & healthy workplace for all employees and workers (including contractors and volunteers) as well as clients, visitors and members of the public. Hazards and risks to health and safety will be eliminated or minimised, as far as is reasonably practicable.   

​The responsibility for managing safety & healthy ultimately rests with the person in control of the business or undertaking, directors and management. Workers also have important responsibilities for safety & healthy in the workplace.

We are committed to complying with the Occupational Safety and Health Act 1994 (Act 514), codes of practice and other safety guidance material.
 
Management committed on:
  • Ensure the business complies with all OS&H legislation requirement
  • Provide safety & healthy working environment condition
  • Eliminate or minimise all OS&H hazards and risks
  • Provide training to all employees and workers on OS&H awareness
  • Supervise workers to ensure work activities are performed safely
  • Provide appropriate safety equipment and personal protective equipment
  • Continuously improve OS&H management system
 
Workers will:
  • Take reasonable care for their own health and safety
  • Follow safe work procedures, instructions and rules
  • Participate in safety training
  • Report health and safety hazards
  • Report all injuries and incidents
  • Use safety equipment and personal protective equipment as instructed
 
Our goal is to provide a safety & healthy work environment that is free from workplace injury and illness. This will only be achieved through the participation, co-operation and commitment of everyone in the workplace.
